Biophysical Simulations

In biophysical simulation models, numerical models of the cell cytoskeleton, plasma membrane and cell surface energy are developed to investigate the physics of blood cell deformation and particle interactions observed in single-cell force spectroscopy tests and the in vitro microcirculation.
Key area of research is in theoretical biophysics which include topics such as cell viscoelasticity, soft-particle interactions, colloid mechanics, and cell locomotion.
