  Job Description:

Applying advanced optical and laser technologies, and nano/micro fabrication technologies in the areas of high resolution and high sensitivity biomedical detection and sensing, Data Storage Institute (DSI) has established cross-field projects successful. Currently we seek for a Singapore citizen or a PR with at least the 2nd upper honors degree. Enthusiasm fresh graduates, or final year students who can complete their degree course in Dec 2009, are welcome to apply, while one to two year experience in areas related to future job functions will be advantageous.

  Job Description:

A research assistant position is available immediately in the Regenerative Nanomedicine Laboratory. He/She will be working on culturing of human and animal stem cell, cell biology work, micro-fabrication, purchasing and inventory taking. The appointee is expected to be self-motivated with good organizational skills.

 
       
  Qualification:

Bachelor degree in bioengineering, biology, chemical engineering, chemistry or material science is preferred, but not limited. Excellence in aseptic cell culture technique is required; experience in laboratory work in molecular biology, micro-fabrication and/or drug delivery would be an advantage but not essential as a comprehensive training will be provided.

  Job Description: Professor Neal Chung Tai-Shung from Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is seeking a research fellow with bioengineering background. The candidate will be involved in a biomimetic membrane for water reuse project.  
       
  Qualification:

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering who is experienced in BioMEMS or biosensors. Demonstrated excellence in one or more following areas is required: supported lipid membrane technology; lipids/polymer vesicles (SUV and GUV); protein grafting and patterning; SAM/monolayer systems; polymer cushioned/tethered lipid bilayers; Langmuir-Blodgett films. Creativity and independence are highly desirable.

Salary is negotiable as long as the candidate aims to make contribution.

A Postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the Bioimaging lab at the Department of Bioengineering, National University of Singapore. The project will be involved in near-field optics and nonlinear optical microscopy for bioimaging.

 
       
  Qualification:

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in one of the following disciplines: Optical Engineering/instrumentation, Applied Optics/Applied Physics; Biomedical Optics, Biomedical Engineering; Photobiology, Photomedicine, and or equivalent qualifications. Demonstrated excellence in one or more of the following areas is required: nonlinear optics and microscopy (CARS, SHG, THG, etc.); near-field optics; ultrafast laser technique; laser spectroscopy; optoelectronics.
