XCT Research SA

The XCT Research SA has the flexibility to be use for a variety of studies with a wide range of animals from rats to sheep. The SA system measures a wide range of sizes and thickness, from small excised rat bone to dog legs and primate forearms. Variable slice capacity allows you to scan the bone compartment of your choice without repositioning.

 

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis Q800

The Q800 utilizes state-of-the-art, non-contact, linear drive technology to provide precise control of stress, and air bearings for low friction support. Strain is measured using optical encoder technology that provides unmatched sensitivity and resolution. With its unique design, the Q800 easily outperforms competitive instruments, and is ideal for high-stiffness applications including composites

 

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis Q8000

DMA data is used to obtain modulus information and it applies an oscillatory force at a set frequency to the sample and reports changes in stiffness and damping. DMA works by applying a sinusoidal deformation to a sample of known geometry.
The sample can be subjected by a controlled stress or a controlled strain.

 

Isomet Precision Saw Cutter

A precision 7” saw with a counter-balanced sliding load weight system, speed control, automatic cut-off switch and digital micrometer control for sample location, removable coolant tray with built-in dressing device.

Nano Indenter G200

The Nano Indenter G200 is used to measure the Young’s modulus and hardness of a material. Measurements of deformation from the indentations can range from nanometers to millimeters. The relationship between structure, material properties and performance of the materials can be quantified.  The applications include thin films, composite materials, and biological tissues like bones. 

Kodak Digital X-ray Specimen (DXS) 4000

Kodak Digital X-ray Specimen (DXS) 4000 System is a two-dimensional X-ray imaging system with energy ranging from 15-35 Kvp and field of view up to 20cm by 20cm. It is capable of providing in-vivo imaging of small animals as well as ex-vivo imaging of bone specimens. 

Olympus IX-71 Microscope

Olympus IX-71 is equipped with four lasers offering a wide range of excitation wavelengths. A solid state diode laser delivers UV excitation at 405 nm, a multi-line agron laser for excitations at 458, 488, and 515 nm, and two solid state Helium Neon lasers delivering excitation at 543 nm and 633 nm. It has an auxiliary chamber for live-cell analysis over time that monitors temperature and CO2.

 

Olympus CKX Microscope

It is a binocular tilting tube which allows observation while standing and a trinocular observation tube which is compatible with various video cameras are available. CKX series microscopes make cell checking quicker and easier than ever because they are simple to operate, require minimal optical adjustments and capture the best possible observation images with outstanding efficiency.

 

Instron Microtester 5848

It is used for testing microelectronics devices, MEMS, photonic and other small components. Additionally, the system provides precise load and displacement measurement capability combined with good cyclic performance. The tester provide the submicron position measurement accuracy and ultra-high-precision load and position control capability required for static testing of micro-components and the performance necessary for cyclic fatigue testing. The design includes a rigid frame, capable of use in either horizontal or vertical orientations, which ensures accurate and repeatable deformation measurements.

 

Esco Fume Hood

It provides operator, product and environmental protection against Biosafety Levels 1, 2 and 3. This cabinet can be used for handling Biohazard level 4, provided that the operator wears positive suit.
